Mágicas Navidades is an annual Christmas event that turns the Recinto Ferial de Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid, into a spectacular winter wonderland during the Christmas season, from the end of November to the beginning of January.
It has more than 100,000 square metres of attractions and activities designed for the whole family. The event offers unique experiences in different spaces such as the themed markets, the ice rink, the attractions, the different catering spaces such as the Bierhaus, the Christmas village and the Magic Door.
The challenge:
As the number of visitors grows year on year, Magical Christmas faced the challenge of managing a very high volume of sales and transactions at multiple points of sale spread throughout the venue. In addition, the efficient and fast preparation of products at various locations was crucial to maintain the quality of service. This scenario required a technology solution that could optimise all processes, ensuring speed and accuracy and the solution chosen was HIOPOS.
Solution:
HIOPOS point-of-sale terminals were installed in each of the different areas of the venue. To speed up the queues, a mobility solution was needed that would allow the order to be taken, the sale to be made and the customer to be charged with the same terminal. For this purpose, more than 130 HIORDER terminals were installed and distributed throughout the park, which facilitated a more agile customer service and significantly reduced waiting times, avoiding crowds at the points of sale. To optimise the preparation of orders, HIOSCREEN was installed together with CallScreen, ensuring that the products were prepared correctly and that the customer had their order ready in the shortest possible time.
Management through HIOFFICE allows both the gastronomic offers and the rest of the products offered at the different stalls to be managed centrally, thus improving the allocation of resources and optimising operations throughout the event.Analytics, for its part, allows administrators to have a comprehensive view of all operations in real time, which undoubtedly helps in decision-making.
