Success story

Aramón

Company that manages 5 ski resorts in the Central Pyrenees with more than 290 kilometers of skiable area, the largest in Spain

«The mobility solution provided by HIOPOS fit perfectly with the new challenge we were facing. - Jorge Anzano (IT Director)»

Customer information:

Aramón is the first Spanish business group specialising in snow and mountain tourism, with a 25% market share in Spain. It manages 5 ski resorts located in the mountains of Aragon: Cerler, Panticosa and Formigal, in the Pyrenees, and Javalambre and Valdelinares, in the Iberian System of Teruel. These stations together make up a ski area of more than 290 kilometres, the largest in Spain.

In addition, it complements its offer with activities, catering services and après-ski plans, creating a mountain experience for everyone.

Challenge:

Hiopos was implemented by Marchica, an innovative concept of après-ski leisure where every afternoon, at the end of the day of skiing, it becomes a meeting point for visitors and ski lovers in a unique setting.

Aramón was looking for a solution scalable and focused on improving processes through mobility and with the aim of improving the customer experience in Marchica.

Solution:

The client opts for a mobility solution, where HIOPOS is installed on their banking devices, creating ALL IN ONE devices, allowing the employee to order, collect and print quickly and without complications. This allows each employee to manage their sales with a mobile device, meeting high demand and streamlining order management.

Additionally, taking advantage of the fact that all customers carry a pass to enter the premises, a cashless system was implemented that allows reducing the use of cash, minimizing discrepancies in the cash reconciliation process and streamlining the service.

The banking terminals where HIOPOS is executed are capable of identifying customers' passes with RFID technology and HIOPOS is responsible for consuming these balances from fixed points of sale or from any mobile device, discounting the existing balance in their passes. For the skier, taking into account the low temperatures and the complex clothing, not having to have cash and being able to manage it through their ski pass, is a differential value in Marchica.

«We could go from 10 points of sale to 60 in hours. That is exactly what we were looking for - Jorge Anzano (IT Director)»

New solutions implemented:

After a year of living with the HIOPOS solutions, they have decided to extend the Hiopos solution to all the establishments, with different concepts, of the 5 Aramon stations, consolidating all the information in a single system.
